Kat Wood is a British writer and director. Her first produced short film, Mr Bojagi, won the Best Short Film Award at the London Independent Film Festival. In 2012, she gained further acclaim as a finalist for both the Bluecat Cordelia Award and the Final Draft Big Break Contest. Two years later, in 2014, she was voted onto The Tracking Board's prestigious Young & Hungry list, which highlights the top 100 emerging writers in Hollywood. Initially celebrated for her screenwriting, Wood later expanded into directing. As the writer-director of the short film Home, she became the first UK winner of the Jameson First Shot Competition.
